SUMMARYThe United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is a major command of the Unites States Army headquartered at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
It is charged with overseeing the training of Army forces and the development of operational doctrine.
TRADOC recruits, trains, educates, develops, and builds the Army, establishes standards, drives improvement, and leads change to ensure the Army can deter, fight, and win on any battlefield now and into the future.
This TRADOC Cloud & Ancillary Support Services (TCASS) contract includes objectives and tasks for cloud migration planning services to include:
Inventory (Users, Applications, Infrastructure, Security & Privacy, Services Management); Application Mapping and Assessment; Migration Planning, Migration Services, and Cloud Support ServiceAs a Information Security Engineer, the Information Security Engineer will supervise a team that includes Information Security, Information Assurance and Cyber Ops professionals.
The Information Security Engineer shall support the Government G-6 Cyber team in the full RMF Lifecycle for the TRADOC Cloud (TC) Environment, including any RMF requirements related to information owners migrating to cARMY.
The Information Security Engineer shall sustain all required network architectural artifacts in support of RMF requirements (i.
e.
, network and system diagrams).
The Information Security Engineer shall develop and manage required network accreditation artifact documents, including System Information, system descriptions, system overviews and program repository submissions (i.
e.
, Information Technology (IT) Security Program of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Secure Cloud Configuration and Management:
Implement, manage, and maintain secure configurations for cloud services and infrastructure within Azure.
Utilize automation tools to enforce security policies and ensure compliance across all cloud deployments.
Incident Response and Remediation:
Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents within the cloud environment, including identification, analysis, mitigation, and post-incident reporting.
Develop and refine incident response protocols and procedures to improve future security posture.
Compliance and Certification:
Assist in achieving and maintaining compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards and certifications.
Guide the process for ATO (Authority to Operate) submissions and maintain ongoing compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to DoD cloud operations.
Security Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver training programs focused on cloud security best practices, RMF requirements, and specific security technologies deployed within the Azure environment.
Promote a culture of security awareness and best practices among all employees.
Threat Intelligence and Analysis:
Monitor, evaluate, and act upon threat intelligence feeds and security alerts specific to the DoD cloud space.
Conduct threat modeling and risk analysis to anticipate and mitigate potential security threats to cloud assets.
Cloud Access Control Management:
Design and implement robust access control policies and identity and access management (IAM) strategies to ensure that only authorized personnel can access cloud resources.
Regularly audit access logs and permissions to prevent unauthorized access or privilege escalation.
Data Protection and Encryption:
Oversee the protection of sensitive data within the cloud, implement encryption in transit and at rest, and configure data loss prevention (DLP) mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access or leakage of information.
Vendor and Third-Party Security Management:
Evaluate the security postures of third-party services and integrations within the Azure cloud environment, ensuring they meet DoD security requirements.
Manage relationships with vendors to address security concerns and compliance requirements.
Continuous Security Assessment and Improvement:
Conduct continuous security assessments of the cloud infrastructure to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Lead efforts to improve the security architecture based on audit findings, incident feedback, and evolving best practices.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience 10

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Advanced degrees preferred.
Professional certification in cloud security (e.

, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer) and/or RMF (e.
g.
, CAP).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on Azure cloud environments.
In-depth knowledge of DoD security policies, RMF, and cloud security frameworks.
Proven track record of designing and securing cloud-based systems within the Azure platform.
Strong analytical skills and experience with security risk assessments and audits.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with cross-functional stakeholders.

Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
